Wanna Write To Me, Huh?ATTENTION! Thanks to some dumbass, or more likely, a 'bot that *belongs* to some dumbass, I've had to scuttle my mail form for the time being. Sorry, but pressing "submit" will probably give you an error message at worst. I'll fix things, eventually.
I realize that the easiest thing to do would be to simply create a "mailto:" link on the front page. Let me tell you why I don't.
Spammers. You know, those guys who fill your mailbox up with hundreds of e-mails offering things you don't care about? Well, they have different ways of picking up the e-mail addresses that they ultimately abuse in this manner. The one that's relevant here is a form of software that does its best to scan every nook and cranny of the web, digging through the source code of each page it encounters, and "harvesting" every instance of what this "bot" perceives to be a valid e-mail address.
Instead of making my e-mail address available to that form of harvesting, I've adopted this e-mail form. If you really want to write to me, you only need to use the form the first time. My address will be readily available to you when you receive my reply, and after that you can use your preferred e-mail application. Unless you're some kind of masochist and you want to keep using this method. That's *your* choice! >:)
Thanks!
