Important Notices!
I've made the decision to limit the scope of my operation to the sales of printed matter -- that being comic books, magazines, trade paperbacks, novels, and in some cases, RPG handbooks -- as well as audio/video media, like DVDs, CDs and VHS. I no longer offer such items as t-shirts or other apparel, toys, posters, or any other such merchandise.
Due to the unending barrage of spam that continually accumulates in my filters, I've taken an unusually drastic step. From now on, my filters are configured so that ALL e-mail that is configured as "Content-type: text/html" or "Content-type: multipart/alternative" are deleted automatically!
These are generally e-mail items that are designed to display on modern e-mail readers just like webpages, with special fonts, colours, and even embedded images, and the vast majority of unsolicited e-mail employs these attention-craving tactics. The unfortunate drawback is that normal people *also* use the html features in their day-to-day e-mail, usually without even realizing it, thanks to the default configuration of many mailhosts such as Hotmail, Netscape, AoL and the like, not to mention software like Outlook and Eudora.
I realize that by blocking out 100% of the HTML-ridden e-mail, I'm excluding legitimate e-mail as well. I've already "whitelisted" most of my address book in anticipation of this, and the e-mail form on this website is designed so that the message *always* gets through. That's why I've writen this warning. If you've tried sending mail to me the normal way but I haven't responded quickly enough for you, please use the form.
I'm not trying to dictate how you send your e-mail; indeed, I'm more than willing to accomodate by updating my whitelists. But as a recipient, I must confess that plain-text e-mail is so much more pleasant to read. And it would stand a better chance of surviving my filters!
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Before We Continue...
I was once able to truthfully claim that I hadn't received any questions to warrant an FAQ. Not anymore!
Here's how this works: there's a chance that one or more of the questions you're about to ask me are already answered somewhere on the Wildcat's Lair website. Odds are that you, like myself, are an impatient person, and want to know the answers ASAFP! If your question is similar to one of those listed below, then the answer is at your fingertips -- just follow the corresponding link, then follow the e-mail link back from that page to here.
If your question isn't otherwise answered (or if you already know everything), or you're ready to make an order or something, just follow the link at the bottom of this page. Don't worry, if you ask something that's already covered in this FAQ, I won't make fun of you or anything like that. I'll just direct you back to the FAQ. >;)
If you're ready, here's the final link to my e-mail form. This will launch a new window. Don't freak out, it's supposed to do that. Really!
